Through our weekly video programs and live streamed class, we provide guidance about short groupings of exercises you can do at home. Our functional exercises are those focused on a particular purpose - helping you enjoy everyday activities through being stronger, more balanced and more mobile.
For people aged 50+, research shows that exercising effectively increases your ability to be actively engaged in life - being more social, playing with grandchildren, and gardening, etc.
At AgeFIT Home, we aim to give each person the confidence and physical capability to live well.
Our videos contain challenging (yet simple and purposeful) exercises designed to improve your strength, balance, posture and mobility. In them, we talk about, and demonstrate, exercise modifications so you can adjust what you do to allow for age or health related factors, and to encourage you to safely challenge yourself as you get the benefits of regular participation.
Our library of videos prescribes different combinations of exercises expertly designed and categorised into 3 levels (basic, moderate and challenging). Each video is short to medium length. WHO WE ARE
We are Scott and Danielle Falconer, a husband and wife team who for the last 8+ years have run a physical gym in Silverstream, Wellington. For more than 7 years our physcial gym has provided specific and very popular 'active aging' classes for our older community members.
Scott is a certified functional ageing specialist Scott is the certified functional aging specialist (Functional Aging Institute) with a degree from Massey University in Health & Sport Science. He is the face of the videos.
